Kakadu enjoys two major climatic seasons,Â the "Wet" and the "Dry" season.Â Commencement and termination of Wet & Dry seasons by monthÂ for our flights are determined by the weather.Â If you are visiting in a transitional period E.G Nov-May and you have your heart set on a certain flight path, it is best to contact the Kakadu team direct to confirm.

Dry seasonÂ (Jun - Nov)Â Passing theÂ Ranger Uranium Mine across toÂ Dinosaur Valley, fly through Upper East Alligator Valley viewing deep fault lines, view the outliers created from erosion, then follow the twists and turns ofÂ the stunning East Alligator River, turning home over the Magela floodplains,Â with one last view ofÂ Jabiru Town to see the famous Crocodile Hotel

Wet SeasonÂ -Â Â Passing the Ranger Mine, across Mt Brockman, and along the escarpment to â€œLightning Dreaming". After crossing Deaf Adder Gorge, we take in the beautiful Double Falls. Fly across the Arnhem Plateau until it drops away to reveal breathtaking Jim Jim and Twin Falls.

Check In: All flights require a check in 30 minutes prior to the advertised departure time. A late departure is likely to affect passengers on following flights. Our Goal is to remain on time, if your arrival is likely to be delayed please inform us urgently, we will offer you alternative options.

Minimum numbers apply. There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund. A minimum of 4 people per booking is required.
Flights are subject to favorable weather conditions. If canceled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund
All passenger weights MUST be advised at time of booking. Please don’t be offended or concerned, Kakadu Air operates light aircraft, take-off weight is a safety issue, we will not fly over weight, or compromise safety.
Due to the safety and weight / balance of the aircraft, we have a weight limitation of 130kg. If you are this weight please contact our reservations direct.
The Company reserves the following rights, to cancel, or to postpone any flight without notice should a circumstance occur that might represent a threat to the safe conduct of the flight or tour.
Reservations cancelled inside 24 hours from departure will forfeit payment in full.
Kakadu Air respects the “Kakadu National Park managements” voluntary code of conduct known as the “The fly neighborly policy”. This policy limits flights to a certain minimum height above terrain, and distance lateral from about 30 locations in Kakadu. Jim Jim and Twin falls are two of these locations. These Falls are viewed freely in our WET SEASON flights as the roads are closed. In the DRY SEASON when the roads are open there are no flights over Jim Jim and Twin Falls.
The Company and the pilot in command may refuse the carriage of a passenger, if that passenger could be regarded as likely to cause annoyance or offence to, or threaten the safety of the flight or any person on that flight.
In refusing service to any person or persons for reason of drunkenness, annoyance, offence, or threat to flight passengers or crew, the company refuses liability for any inconvenience or cost related to our refusal for the passenger or freight to travel.

This flight was planned to be the pinnacle of our brief Kakadu trip, and it exceeded all expectations. Our pilot "Johnnie' was a wealth of information which made the experience even better. Could not believe the diversity of the terrain, from Mountain to wetlands to sparse plainlands. This is a must do experience if you are in or near Jabiru.

We decided to do the scenic flight over Kakadu after arriving at the lodge. They were very accommodating and scheduled in a flight the morning we were leaving. The pilot was very informative and made the whole family feel safe. If you are coming to Kakadu I would highly recommend it. It is one of those excursions that is pricey but once you have done it you think it was worth the money.

Stunning flight. We went out at 1730 for a one hour flight which meant it was a bit cooler and got the golden light. Being a small plane there is no aircon (no different to any other scenic flight I’ve done around the world) but they provide complimentary bottles of water. Fantastic to see the different landscapes (floodplains, rock escarpments, alligator river etc) from the air. Tight leg room - but it’s only an hour and it’s a small plane so to be expected. Would highly recommend.

Opportunity to see vastness of Kakadoo. At $250 if you can I would recommend. Pilot young, friendly and knowledgable and competent. Plane obviously small and bit cramped but so worth discomfort

We did the sunset flight and it was pure magic. Our pilot James was very friendly and knowledgeable. This is such a wonderful way to see Kakadu and grasp the vastness of this magical place. Can't recommend highly enough!

Have just done an amazing flight over Kakadu with Kakadu Air. Scenery amazing and excellent commentary from pilot Josh. Thoroughly recommend this flight .

A highlight of our 6 day trip to Kakadu was starting it with a scenic flight over the north of Kakadu. From the air, we could see just how diverse the region is - flying over stone country in the north, then came back down past Ubirr (not too close), followed the East Alligator River and over the wetlands. We saw small communities, at least 50 brumbies, buffalo and so many colours and shapes of the landscape. A briliant introduction. Our pilot Johnny was funny and gave great commentary through our headphones (to block out the noise).

Our flight over Kakadu and Arnhem Land was fantastic, Could not fault them. don’t book this trip thru TripAdvisor as they add 6.6%

Just fantastic! Highly recommended. The view was jaw-dropping…by far the best way to see Kakadu. Our pilot James was brilliant. Book a flight - you won’t regret it!

A great way to appreciate Kakadu. The plane has limited leg room if you are tall so can become uncomfortable after a while. The views were stunning especially at sunset.
