547 Ann Street Brisbane City Queensland 4000 Mercy Heritage Centre

About Mercy Heritage Centre:

Situated overlooking the Brisbane River and Story Bridge, this is a unique cultural heritage setting. With one of the oldest surviving houses in Brisbane (built 1858), buildings from a host of significant architects, and the long association with the Sisters of Mercy (since 1863), the Mercy Heritage Centre All Hallows’ Convent is rich in history.

The remarkable story of the Mercy Sisters is told through informative exhibitions, particularly their work in the areas of health, education, and social welfare. At various times thematic displays are assembled, including: biographical histories of important personalities; relics and other religious practices of the past; and the overseas ministries of the Sisters of Mercy.

The Mercy Heritage Centre welcomes groups and offers guided historical tours of the grounds on open days.
